Abstract Compacted clay is an effective and economical engineering barrier for seepage prevention gas blocking in landfills (including tailings pond, landfill, etc.). In addition to the lack of durability such as desiccation cracks compacted modified by clinoptilolite sodium polyacrylate, it also necessary consider changes properties water holding capacity, resistance, strength clay. Therefore, through oven evaporation test, flexible wall permeability test unconfined compressive this paper studies retention, characteristics with different amounts polyacrylate. Orthogonal experiment L 16 (4 5 ) was used optimize amount polyacrylate compaction conditions, further combined analytic hierarchy process (AHP), factors affecting before after modification were discussed simply quickly, applicability orthogonal traditional analysis method studied.
